Route update (planning reference)
Note:
Our timing remains flexible and adjusts naturally based on confirmed stays.
As a general reference, we expect to reach southern Italy (Bari area) approximately 3–5 months after departure, but this may change depending on longer or better-aligned house-sitting opportunities accepted along the way.
Current segment
- Estimated arrival in Düsseldorf: 26–27 February
- Then: Frankfurt – Stuttgart corridor
- Next likely segment: Strasbourg / France → Nice → Northern Italy → Genoa
Homeowners whose dates align with upcoming segments are welcome to contact us.
How we plan:
Route flexibility
We consider house-sitting opportunities that align reasonably with our direction of travel through Europe.
Detours of a few hours’ drive are fine for longer stays or long-duration house sitting.
Longer stays take priority over short stays.
Coastal, seaside, or near-the-sea locations are of particular interest and may outweigh shorter inland opportunities.
In short: A longer stay will outweigh a shorter one, even if it requires adjusting the route.
Looking ahead:
Future opportunities
While our current route is outlined above, we are also open to suitable house-sitting opportunities in other European countries at later stages of our journey.
If your location or dates do not align with our current segment, you are still welcome to contact us with details. We may keep suitable offers on file for long-term planning (including 1–4 years ahead or more). Submitting an offer does not imply a commitment or a guaranteed follow-up, but it helps us plan and reconnect if timing later aligns.
We are particularly open to longer winter stays in milder or warmer parts of Europe, where extended house sitting can align well with seasonal conditions and longer-term planning.
